Chemical peels are a series of solutions applied to the skin that remove the top layer of dead skin cells and help reveal a smoother and more youthful complexion. To soothe the face, you can apply a protective ointment. These symptoms will eventually resolve in a week or two.

The use of makeup will depend on the type of chemical peel. If you had a light peel, you can wear make-up a day or two after the procedure.

It is also important after a chemical peel to limit sun exposure, regularly cleanse your skin and apply moisturizer.

  4. Avoid waxing, exfoliating, and bleaching of the treatment area
  5. Wash your face with a non-residue soap the day before the scheduled chemical peel
  6. Avoid wearing make-up and moisturizer the day before and on the day of the procedure
